My health journey began after the birth of my second child. I was overweight, exhausted, and my mood was all over the place. I hardly recognized myself.
I tried over restricting what I ate, doing hours of cardio a week, and obsessing over every thing I put into my mouth. I would lose some weight but it did not stay off long. My mood and sleep were still suffering too.
Frustrated, I started researching gut health and learned that the health of my gut the root of my health issues.
Instead of overexercising and stressing about every bit of food I put in my mouth, I started healing my gut by eating things that supported my gut health. I focused on managing my stress too.
Slowly but surely, the weight started coming off and my mood improved. I finally felt like myself again!
